Nando Parrado

#1 motivational speaker in the world, author of Miracle in the Andes.

Nando Parrado is one of the 16 Uruguayan survivors of Air Force Flight 571 which crashed in the Andes Mountains on 13 October 1972. After being trapped for two months, he bravely climbed through the mountains over a ten day period to find help. He has been recognized for doing what very few could ever accomplish: not giving in to life’s worst circumstances. He risked it all without equipment or proper clothing and boots. Mountain climbers from around the world have traced his steps and tried to figure out how he walked and climbed for ten days without food under extreme conditions. Author of Alive: Back to the Andes, Nando’s story has been heralded as a lesson in leadership as he stepped up to the impossible.
